Custom projects are always special to us, here at Beauty by Design, but this dress was extra special to create because bride Lexi had been friends with Designer Deborah for the past several years through their shared love of techno! Lexi and new husband Sam had a micro outdoor wedding in October 2020. Lexi’s fall wedding was beautifully fall inspired. It was Gothic yet whimsical, trendy yet mystical. And what tied everything together was her whimsical, mystical custom Beauty by Design wedding dress!

Have you ever come across a designer dress on Pinterest or Instagram and thought to yourself “this would be perfect if only…”. If only it was a different color, if only it was a different price, if only it had sleeves, if only... At Beauty by Design, we are inspired by the “if onlys”, turning them into reality! Lexi was inspired by a beautiful gown from the trendy New York Fashion Week designer Hayley Paige. We took Lexi’s “if only”, creating a Hayley Paige inspired layered skirt that was black, sparkly, and unique to Lexi’s style.

It all starts with the dress: envisioning yourself as a bride, completing your wedding aesthetic, and your first moments as a newly wed.
