When you call to make your first appointment, have your inspiration on hand. The more she knows about your desires, the better she can seamlessly lay out a plan and execute your dreams.
At the initial consultation at Beauty By Design, you will go over all the details of design, including fabric and colors. Since you will be at Deborah’s beautiful studio you’ll have first-hand experience with a variety of fabrics and color choices. Think how hard it would be to discern the plethora of whites available online only!
The ease and benefit of chatting about your design details and being able to see examples in real life as you do so is obvious. And, fit! Having a professional designer and seamstress, Deborah Block, taking your measurements is the key to couture - and it happens right in that first consultation so the design of your dress is made with your body in mind right from the beginning.
After the first consultation is when a lot of the magic happens. Deborah goes all out to make sure your dream dress comes to fruition. Oftentimes she draws up a few different options. This includes actual sketches of the options of design and much more, including fabric choices. She lays out these options with pricing estimates and you are able to make your final choice from there.
Once you receive an invoice and payment is made, Deborah is able to order fabric and get to what she does best, creating your dream dress. Creating couture is a process. During your first fitting, it’s not unusual to see an unfinished garment or even a mock-up dress. This allows for the highest level of attention to detail and impeccable design, the kind you expect from Beauty By Design.
Couture takes time. With Deborah, you are in good hands. The process is easy and fun - and not something that can be rushed. It can take anywhere from two to six months to complete your custom design, and Deborah is caring for every detail through it all. You can expect a minimum of three fittings to ensure a perfect fit.
